The Watson Insurance and Financial Group has been serving Montrose and the surrounding communities for almost 20 years. Our goal is to supply groups, individuals, and other agents with access to an expanding network of the top rated insurance and financial service providers in the country. We not only offer access to multiple workers compensation carriers but we can also help businesses implement a cost containment program and help with claims management.

CINDY WATSON
Owner and Founder
Cindy began her agency in 1989 offering health and life insurance. Today, in addition to life and health insurance, she offers multiple Property and Casualty outlets, disability and long term care insurance as well as retirement planning. Cindy is a perennial recipient of the National Quality Award and President’s Club qualifier, as well as an MDRT Court of the Table producer. In 2003 Newsweek Magazine awarded her the Real Life Stories Award for her work and dedication with a terminally ill client. She was one of only five people in the United States to receive that recognition.

Cindy is very active in community affairs. She is a member of the Montrose Chamber Of Commerce, the Rotary Club, and a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) Volunteer, in which she is the voice for abused or neglected children. She has coached competitive and high school soccer since 1989. She is also the host and organizer of the Cindy Watson Scholarship Foundation Golf Invitational that she established in 1992. The event raises scholarship funds that are awarded to a local area high school graduate to attend any Colorado College.

When Cindy is not working she enjoys spending time on her 40 acres on the Grand Mesa and spending time with her family.

LEW FRENCH
Associate Broker
Lew graduated from the Colorado School of Mines in 1997 with a BS in Chemical and Petroleum Refining Engineering and a minor in Environmental Science and Engineering. In 2004 he completed his MBA from the Keller School of Management, graduating with honors. Lew’s recent move to the financial services industry follows four years as a Project Engineer designing and installing soil and groundwater remediation systems and four years with a polyurethane injection molding company where he became the General Manager.

Lew returns to his hometown of Montrose with his wife Shanna and children Lewie and Ashlynn. His goal is to combine his technical problem solving skills as an engineer and his background in running a business to form real world solutions to the financial hurdles of business owners and individuals in this town he loves.

When Lew is not working he spends his time with his family and dreaming of the next elk season.
